Innity Philippines Nominated for Marketing Excellence Awards 2024

We’re excited to announce that our media campaign for KFC The Gamer Box 2023 has been nominated for “Excellence in Mobile Marketing” at the Marketing Excellence Awards 2024. This campaign was also previously nominated at the Mobile Excellence Awards this year.

In collaboration with Wavemaker Philippines, Innity Philippines implemented a mobile-centric strategy using our high-impact Mobile Pull ad format. This innovative overlay format starts with an invitation unit that expands to a full-page unit when users pull up, effectively showcasing KFC’s Gamer Box promotion with PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG).

The Mobile Pull is a highly visible, customizable overlay ad that appears at the bottom-center of a mobile screen, staying in place regardless of the user’s scrolling behavior. The standout feature is its “pull-up” functionality, requiring users to pull the banner up to reveal the expanded ad. This user-initiated action ensures high engagement from interested users, with the expanded ad covering the entire screen for maximum impact.

The initial invitation frame used for the campaign ad featured a teaser design with question marks over the contents of the Gamer Box, accompanied by the PUBG mascot and KFC’s logo. This intriguing design prompted users to pull up the banner to discover the actual items included in the Gamer Box and learn about the in-game incentives.

The campaign generated a 15% engagement rate, three times higher than the average for display ads, and achieved a 0.88% click-through rate, nearly double the industry average.
