Campaigns of the Month [January]

Chinese New Year came and went in a blink of an eye! And we saw brands pulling out all the stops to ride on the festive season with celebrity greetings, quirky, creative, and emotional ads to usher in the Chinese New Year.

Here’s a look at a few of the Chinese Year New campaigns we did for our clients!

 

McDonald’s – Chinese New Year 2017 [MY]

It’s an annual affair when it comes to McDonald’s campaigning for their Golden Prosperity Burgers during Chinese New Year. And this time, they decided to use Innity’s Mobile Over The Page (OTP) to promote this year’s campaign. The ad was shown in a full mobile page.

KFC – Celebration Bucket [MY]

Instead of a having a straightforward Chinese New Year promo campaign to create brand awareness, KFC used Innity’s Lightbox to engage with their users by inviting them to participate in their Instagram contest and stand a chance to win KFC vouchers. Furthermore, they also promoted the brand using Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) such as Amber Chia and Fasha to influence and increase engagement.

United International Pictures – Rings [MY]

Rings is a sequel to a horror movie called The Rings. United International Pictures used Innity’s Mobile First View to create brand awareness for this movie. In this ad, it shows Samara (the ghost) coming closer and closer to the user. This will tease the user a sense of fright, which hints at what’s more to come when they catch the entire movie.

Etude House – Play 101 Stick [HK]

Etude House promoted their campaign on their latest make-up products called Play 101 Stick with Innity’s Lightbox. The ad consisted of a 35 seconds promotional video, a sign up form to get shopping rewards and 3 short tutorials on how to use the products.

Celcom – First CNY [MY]

To take advantage of the festive season, Celcom promoted their campaign using Innity’s Site Take Over. Once the ad appeared as a full page ad, users were prompted to explore the rest of the ad by sliding left. Upon sliding, a promotional video played and users could click to head to Celcom’s site to sign up for their mobile plans.
